This column is intended to be a very brief presentation of what I have done so far in my life.
First of all – of course, because this is my job – it’s about how I started tennis and then about my other achievements.
I was born on March 8, 1996 and I started playing tennis in Piatra Neamţ, with coach Petru Iftimie, at the age of 5.
Ever since I have fallen in love with this sport and that passion has brought me to this point. From the age of 8, I was part of the national team (the first 8 players of the country), but I was never first, second or third in my age category, that’s why I didn’t participate in the European championships. When I was 10 years old, my parents decided to move to Bucharest so that I could have a better future. What I have achieved so far as a professional tennis player, you can see in detail by following the statistics presented in the Career [Professional Records & Results] sections of this website’s menu.
In the meantime, I studied :
- Middle School, no. 49, where I finished with the best grade 9.99 out of 10.
- Emil Racoviţă National High Scool – where I got 9.10 at the Final Exams.
- between 2015 and 2018, I attended the Marketing University of ASE Bucharest, and finished with a grade of 10 (maximum) in the Final Project.
I continued attending the Coaching School courses organised by CNFPA, which I also graduated with 10, so now I also have the coaching qualification.
I speak English (level C1), Spanish (A1) and Italian (A1).
In also got my driver’s license, attended crossfit and Latin dance classes.
These are the milestones of my tennis and educational career.
If only because I have withstood for so long the turmoil caused by everyday life, through airports, trains, buses, hotels, eating on the run, etc. it is an achievement in itself.
But the fact that in between all these trips I managed to play finals, win titles and study with very good results, I think is even more important.
And that I did all this with a financial support coming almost exclusively from my income and from the help given by my family, makes me feel really proud.
